Yorkshire Gold Blend: Great Morning Tea

If you are looking for a full bodied tea that is rich in taste, palatable and easy to drink you may want to taste Yorkshire Gold Blend black tea. Available online and in some supermarkets in the UK, it is a great tea to wake up to in the morning.

It is available as either loose tea leaves which you can brew using either teapot or a tea infuser, and in teabags. The loose tea leaves are dried and cut quite small, as all black tea is, unlike Chinese teas which use the full leaf. If you are going to brew a cup or mug of tea using Yorkshire Gold tea bags you should follow the instructions on the package. Usually, it is recommended that you use one tea bag per cup or mug, and pour boiling water directly onto the tea bag in the cup.  After two to three minutes pull the tea bag out of the cup and then add milk or sugar to taste. If you are making a cup of tea you may only want to leave it for two minutes, but for a mug you can leave it a little longer depending on how strong you like your tea to be.

You can also use teabags to make tea in a teapot.  Basically, you should use one teabag per cup. Therefore, if you were making four cups of tea you would place four teabags into the teapot and then pour freshly boiled water into the teapot. Allow it to sit for two to three minutes before taking the tea bags out of the pot.

When brewing loose tea you should first of all warm the teapot.  Tip the warm water out and then place one teaspoon of tea leaves per cup of tea, with one extra teaspoon added.  Pour on freshly boiled water and let it steep for two to three minutes. You may want to pour the tea out through a tea strainer so as not to get loose tealeaves in the cups after pouring.  Alternatively, loose tea can be placed in an infuser. Use a small ball infuser for one cup of tea, filling it half full of tea leaves. As with the teapot, let the infuser sit inside the cup for two to three minutes.

This tea is perfect to drink in the morning when you need a boost before the day starts. It can be drunk without any milk, though most suggest that it is the type of tea that is better with a little milk added to it. If you are not adding milk, you may want to let it brew for a few seconds less.
