Acne Vulgaris is a type of lesion that damages the skin when erupted. This damage is the resulting scar. Not all breakouts will scar the skin. To ensure that the current breakout doesn’t scar the tissue it is best to not pick at the pimples. If there was a golden rule this would be it: Don’t pick at your pimples.
The golden rule is simple but at times can be hard to follow. Not all of us have followed this rule and we have acne scars to prove it. For those of us that didn’t listen, or were never told, we have some helpful hints. These tips are inexpensive and all natural so that anyone can use them regardless of their budget or skin type.
Tip #1 Stay Hydrated
Staying hydrated is more than just using the right kind of soap. It means meeting our daily water intake goals. These goals are important because our bodies rely on water for its health. When we drink 6-8 glasses of water a day we can keep our bodies hydrated. This helps to keep our skin moisturized. When our skin is moisturized it is more able to heal itself. Drinking water can help the skin repair the damage that acne has done.
Tip #2 Organic Masks
Topical creams and laser treatments can get rid of acne scars. They also tend to be a bit expensive or harsh on the skin. An organic mask will do the same thing but it is easier on the skin and the pocket book. Masks that are made with natural honey and tomatoes are great at reducing the appearance of acne scars. Tomatoes are great by themselves too. When a tomato is cut up and placed on the skin directly it can help heal the scar. This is because Tomatoes have Vitamin A in them and this particular vitamin is good because it rejuvenates the skin.
The first rule is to not pick at your pimples. But if you are suffering from acne scars then following the previous tips will help to heal those scars.
