I have a friend who swears by her online psychic. I was skeptical. Who wouldn’t be? I consider myself pretty new-agey and I have called a phone psychic or two in my time. But online? Really?
So I did some research into the field and here’s what I found. There are tons of online psychics and some of them are doing amazing work. Now, I think that people probably had the same reaction to phone psychics when they first began: “How could you not be face to face with your psychic?” So I’m trying to come out of my old-fashioned way of thinking and join the 21st century.
For someone who has never had a psychic reading, doing it online will seem like the most natural thing in the world! First, I was surprised to discover that you can still end up talking with a psychic even though you began the connection online. You enter your phone number and the psychic you picked calls you right away. So you spend some time shopping for the right person and then click! And you are connecting the “old-fashioned way.”
Here are some things not to do — allow me to save you some time and money.
1. Do not click on the first ad you see. Even if it says “Free” do not click on it. The first five minutes might be free but after that, you might be billed at $5 a minute. Sheesh.
2. Do not click on the first ad you see! Not all online psychics are equal. You need to spend some time looking around. Read the reviews — of both the psychic and the site they are on. Do people like the site? Do they feel like they get their money’s worth? You are allowed to ask these questions. You are not money-grubbing for asking for a final price on a reading.
3. Do not give your credit card first thing. You should be able to explore the site and read bios of the psychics without having to fork over your credit card.
4. Trust your own instincts. You will know if you’ve truly made a good connection with a psychic. What is he or she really telling you? Is it startling to you? If not, then you are probably ready to disengage and look elsewhere.
5. You are going to kiss a few frogs before you find your psychic prince charming. Give yourself a budget. I told myself that I would spend $30 playing around with the experience.
6. Connecting with a psychic medium is going to be more pricey. If you want to connect to the spirit world, it will cost more because it is going to take longer and be more in depth.
I hope this helps you prepare for your own first time with an online psychic. It’s fun to hear some insight or learn something about your future and don’t let fear of an unknown experience keep you away.
