People often talk about specs and speed when it comes to the best laptops for college students. Instead of that try to think about reliability and usability. It doesn’t matter how speedy your laptop is if it’s always in for repair. Read reviews about the laptops you are interested in and see how they are doing. You’ll quickly find a few laptops that stand out as being outstanding for usability and reliability. Those are the models you want.
Amazon.com is the place to go for finding the best deal on the laptop you just decided you wanted to buy. Make sure also check out a few other online retailers just to make sure Amazon has the best price, but typically when I’m looking for the best deal on anything, the first place I check is Amazon. The local computer stores will probably have the highest prices, but are easier to deal with if you do happen to have a problem with your laptop. Apple.com is also a great place to get some of the best laptops for students, but they obviously cost a bit more than the average Windows laptop.
Refurbished – Refurbished laptops are great. They are a practically new laptop without paying full price. I recently went this route when purchasing a digital camera and and saved over $200 dollars. Was I happy? Mostly, it’s important to remember that there might be some small surfer scratches, etc from the previous owner. Most times they are barely noticable and don’t effect how the laptop works, but in my case I’m very particular and noticed them. For a $200 dollar saving I can deal with the small marks that most people won’t notice and that’ll I’ll even add to at some point. Most companies that sell refurbished laptops even offer a warranty of some kind which is an added reassurance.
