Supplies You Will Need For A Beach Wedding

This is a guest post by Chloe from Wedding Supplies Expert.

Having a beach wedding is the dream of an increasing amount of young couples, as the cost can be significantly lower than a traditional church ceremony, and as fancy as you wish to pay for.  That is the best thing about them, they are wonderfully casual, and tend to be less uptight and formal affairs than a typical wedding and you are probably going to have less guests to worry about, so those who are a little nervous are probably going to appreciate that in the end.

Beach Wedding Supplies You Might Consider
The first thing a young lady will need is an appropriate dress.  You don’t have to wear the taffeta cupcake that many brides opt for in traditional settings, but it should be tasteful and cover the body well.  I am not a big fan of the “wedding bikini”, after all your dad will probably be there and doesn’t like seeing his daughter served up like a Christmas ham.   You will want to think elegant, not, Malibu.   Light fabric that breathes well and kind of “floats” is going to be a good beach look, and rather than a big fluffy outdated veil you might go for flowers in your hair, lilies in particular will look really fresh and nice in a bride’s hair.

Another idea is candles and shell arrangements for the tables, they are going to be cheaper than fresh flowers and can be reused, so you may be able to rent them.  Food offered can be anything from finger foods and cocktails to a fine feast of salmon, sea bass, or shellfish.   Great oceanside colors include light blue, yellow, and sage green.  Find something that works for you and have fun while you do it. That is the great thing about picking out beach wedding supplies, use your imagination and get creative!

What’s the Best Road Quad for Beginners?

“What is the best road quad for beginners?” A very important question, if one is considering picking up the habit. In many cases, selecting the wrong quad can cost you a lot of money and pain in the long run.

Purchasing a 50cc quad bike up to a 100 cc quad, can easily be outgrown. However, buying a larger quad can mean potential accidents if you are just starting out. One of the keys is finding the right balance with a view on the long term.

Listed below are some considerations for beginners when selecting a road legal quad:

Engine Displacement

As previously, discussed, selecting the right bike based on engine displacement is crucial. It is important to define your long term purpose for buying a road legal quad. Some recommend starting out with a quad with mid-sized engines. This gives you the flexibility of enjoying the quad as a beginner without sacrificing too much power. You can make adjustments or add accessories later on when you need the added juice. Upgrading to a faster bike should also be less abrupt, if you do decide to go up to the 400 to 500 cc levels as opposed to making that jump from a mini quad with 100 cc and below.

Transmission

Road Quads come in three types of transmission: Manual, Automatic, and Semi automatic. Similar to cars, the manual bike will require the use of a clutch and could mean changing gears quite often. The automatic and semi automatic do not require as much human intervention. If you have never experienced using manual transmission, it is recommended that, unless you undergo training, select an automatic or semi-automatic ATV.

Regulations for Road Legal Quads

It is important that you make the distinction between Road and Off-Road Quads when making a purchase. Ensure that you check that all road vehicle restrictions for the use of road legal quads in your country of use are met when shopping for the right bike. Typically these would include road legal tires, lights, signals, horns, license plates, weight restrictions and other various requirements. In most countries, you will need to have the vehicle registered; insured and the driver must be of legal age and carry a driver’s license.

In determining the bike that you will purchase, keep your safety at the forefront of your criteria. Likewise maintain a long term view of your purchase to maximize and sustain your interest in your bike and choose between the type of transmission that best suits your style. Lastly, enjoy your new bike.

Pego…La Marina Alta

Pego is a small town of roughly 11,000 people that is to the north west of Denia. It is one of the most northern towns of the Costa Blanca and the town itself has a long history. Set in a valley between a string of mountains, the town has had its fair share of occupants over time. The valley was first home to Palaeolithic inhabitants, indeed there have been architectural finds from the Neolithic and Bronze Age period also. Another period that is in evidence is the Roman occupation. But the people who played the largest part in the growth of the area in the early history of Pego were the Muslims who invaded in the eighth century.

The Muslims not only brought with them a great knowledge of agriculture and how to look after the land, they also brought with them real engineering skills that helped to build a system of irrigation that would change the land forever. It is generally accepted that the Moors were here for almost 5 centuries until the Christians reconquered the land. Muslims at that time were allowed to stay if they changed their religion to Christianity. Most of the Muslims had been living here for generations and so they had no intentions of leaving. Some of the Muslims changed their religion to Christianity but still practiced Islam, these were known as Moriscos. The Moriscos were finally expelled and took with them all their precious knowledge of the land.

There are plenty of sites that you should visit if you are coming to the town. The architectural sites fall into two different categories, the religious and the military. On the military side is the 13th century Castillo de Ambra which was mostly destroyed during the war of succession with Spain and France who were fighting most of the rest of Europe over issues to do with the balance of power.

Today, the town still relies a lot on agriculture for its survival. The natural Park of the Peg-Oliva marshes is a big producer of rice even to this day. One of the typical dishes of the area is rice that is served with turnips and beans; another one is paella which is served with duck and eel.

How To Save Money On Hockey Goalie Equipment

If you have ever played ice hockey you probably realize exactly how expensive it is to buy the equipment needed to protect yourself sufficiently. However, for hockey goalies the price is much more expensive than what a typical hockey player spends on hockey gear. Between the fancy goalie masks and the hockey goalie skates that offer more protection for goaltenders to prevent injury, pretty much every piece of equipment worn by goalies is more expensive than what the other hockey players have to pay. The fact that playing goalie costs more money should not necessarily be a deterrent when choosing what position you want to play when you join hockey, it just means that you need to know how, when and where to buy your hockey goalie gear in order to avoid paying an arm and a leg.

First and foremost, if you really want to save a lot of money on your goalie gear, you need to buy used goaltender equipment. Most hockey goalies do not like to buy used because they think that the equipment won’t be good enough, but the fact of the matter is that most used goalie equipment is not much older than a few years old and they are usually in good condition to offer sufficient protection against pucks. Another benefit to buying used goalie gear is the fact that you do not have to worry about breaking in the equipment which for most goalies is usually a dreadful process.

The best time to buy goalie equipment is during the summer. Summer is the off season for the sport of hockey, and most hockey shops, sporting good stores and hockey equipment websites will offer discounts and closeout sales on hockey equipment because of their lack of business during the summers.

If you know what you are looking to buy, you are probably going to want to buy your goalie gear online. There are literally countless hockey equipment websites that have a great selection of goalie gear. If you are going to buy your hockey goalie equipment online, you should definitely know exactly what size, brand and model it is that you are going to buy before spending your hard earned money so to avoid having to return your goalie equipment after it has been shipped to you.

Though it is true that playing goalie in hockey is quite expensive, there certainly are steps that you can take in order to save money when you buy your goalie equipment.
